Glass veranda in jet black with Victorian Traditional posts and gallows brackets located in Sturminster Newton, Dorset

In Victorian times, verandas were often made of cast metal and usually painted black. Many examples can still be found in seaside towns and cities across the country, where they remain in use today. These cast metal verandas were high maintenance, frequently needing new roofs due to rot. This example of our Aluminium Victorian Traditional Simplicity Xtra veranda, featuring ornate posts, cast bases, and gallows brackets, evokes the charm of the past and looks fantastic on older properties. Installed in Sturminster Newton, Dorset, it requires minimal upkeep—just a wash with warm soapy water every six months, or as needed for coastal areas. This installation was expertly completed by one of our skilled Somerset trade partners.
