A veranda near Newquay, Cornwall, features a self-cleaning glass roof and is powder-coated in silk grey to complement the windows, doors, and paintwork.

This charming Cornish stone property, nestled in the stunning countryside near Newquay, Cornwall is a holiday let designed with care. The owners needed weather protection for their guests, whether it was raining or sunny, and wanted a design that matched the windows and doors while complementing the building's aesthetics. They specifically requested to avoid a conservatory roof with posts.
We recommended our Victorian veranda, featuring authentic posts and cast base columns. The roof is made of self-cleaning toughened glass with a blue tint, which reduces sunlight and glare. To ensure a cohesive look, we matched the window and door color with silk grey RAL7044. Given the low height at the rear, we used our special bracket and beam system. We had to go higher at the rear as the self cleaning glass had to have a minimum of a 10 degree pitch for it to work effectively.
The owners are delighted with the result and plan to upload photos to their website, which will undoubtedly attract customers seeking a holiday let in Cornwall.
